Police Investigate Greenburgh New Year's Eve Beating

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – White Plains and Greenburgh police officers responded to an assault the victim alleges happened in a Knollwood Road parking lot after a New Year’s Eve party.

The victim was a 39-year-old man who suffered head trauma after being struck in the head numerous times with a blunt object, police said.

The victim had attended a New Year’s Eve party at the Royal Palace Restaurant; after the party, the man alleged that two other men beat him with a blunt instrument, police said.

The man who was assaulted was unable to provide a clear description of his attackers, police said.

Greenburgh emergency officials administered treatment at the scene and transported him to the Westchester Medical Center, where he was recently listed in serious but stable condition.
