Scarsdale Lawyer/CPA Charged In Wife's Stabbing Death, Reports Say

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- A Scarsdale lawyer and CPA has been charged in the Wednesday stabbing death of his wife, a prominent physician, that reportedly occurred during a domestic dispute.

Jules Reich, 61, who was questioned while hospitalized after allegedly killing his wife, Robin Goldman Reich, 58, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder late Wednesday and is being held at Westchester County Jail without bail, according to lohud.com. 

Jules Reich was arraigned at Scarsdale Village Court.

Property records obtained by Daily Voice for the 5,700-square-foot, $3.4 million home home at 50 Lincoln Road confirm that Reich resided there with Robin Goldman Reich, a physician with the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx. 

Jules Reich is a partner at WeiserMazars LLP, an accounting, tax and advisory firm located on West 150th Street in Manhattan. 

“We are confident that this is an isolated incident which poses no threat to the community," Scarsdale Police Capt. Thomas Altizio said.

It was the first homicide in Scarsdale since 1977.

The "Scarsdale Diet Doctor" murder case in 1980 involving Jean Harris and Dr. Herman Tarnower occurred at Tarnower's residence in Purchase.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday, Scarsdale police responded to 50 Lincoln Road after receiving an emergency 9-1-1 call reporting that a woman had been seriously injured. According to police, first responders with with the department and Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps were on the scene within three minutes, where the still unidentified woman was found dead.

The 9-1-1 call was placed by Jules Reich, who was hospitalized with "defensive wounds," according the New York Post.

At approximately noon, forensic investigators from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety and members of the District Attorney’s Office joined the Scarsdale police investigation in the Heathcote neighborhood as they seek answers into the unidentified woman’s death.
