Edgar Flores, 24, failed to appear in court for a misdemeanor charge of aggravated unlicensed operation, which led to the warrant for his arrest, police said. He had been contacted by the investigating detective and advised to surrender to police.
According to police, Flores was released on $100 bail, and is due back in court on March 13.

- A Catherine Road resident alerted police on Friday that an engagement ring had been taken from her home at some point over the last few months. According to the report, the 2.67-carat diamond ring – worth between $15,000 and $18,000 – was taken between Dec. 31 and Feb. 10.
- A student at Heathcote Elementary School reported to police that his flute was stolen during spring break. The instrument was left on a counter outside his teacher’s door on Feb. 15 and when he returned on Feb. 25, it was missing, he said. The flute was a rental from Ardsley Musical instrument service in Scarsdale, and is worth an estimated $1,200.
- Several items stolen from vehicles in January were reported to police on Friday. A Taunton Road resident was advised by her insurance company to alert the authorities about a larceny while she was dealing with a burglary in her home. According to police, between Jan. 24 and Jan. 26, a custom golf club, sunglasses and Apple iTouch were among items taken from two vehicles parked in the driveway. The goods are worth an estimated $1,075.
