SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Police Benevolent Association is sponsoring a drive to help victims of domestic violence.
The association is sponsoring the drive for My Sister’s Place, "a non-profit agency in Westchester County that advocates and provides shelter for victims of domestic violence," according to a press release.
The association is asking for the following items, according to the release: New or slightly used large and extra large duffel bags, all size towels, blankets and comforters (in bright, cheerful colors) for the upcoming cold weather, new and unopened full size toiletries, packages of diapers in all sizes and baby wipes, according to the release. Representatives added that "there is a dire need for new twin sheet sets," according to the release.
Donated goods can be dropped off in the lobby Scarsdale Police Headquarters, located at Tompkins and Fenimore Roads, at any time of day or night from Friday through Nov. 15. The PBA will "assure that the items are delivered to the shelter and will also contribute to the cause," according to the release.
"Clients of the shelter have been extremely grateful for support from the Scarsdale Community in the past and we are looking forward to another successful drive this year," representatives said in the release.
