At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, a woman in the Greenacres neighborhood walked home from the Hartsdale train station, when she was confronted by an unidentified man in the driveway of her home.

According to police, before she was able to make her way to her front door, a man - who has been described as 5-foot, 8-inches tall wearing all black with a black ski mask covering his face - approached her carrying a silver firearm.

The man immediately said “don’t say anything,” when the woman yelled for her husband. The suspect then said “give me your ring” while grabbing her arm. The woman was able to get free, ran inside and called detectives, police said.

Following the report of the incident, Scarsdale police investigators conducted an extensive search of the area, with an assist from the Westchester County Police, who provided canine and aviation units. During the search, a glove was found at the base of the driveway.

A similar incident occurred in Yonkers the following day, when a man in a black ski mask approached a teenage girl in her car. A suspect has not yet identified in either case as the investigations continue. Keep following Daily Voice for additional details as they are released.
