Tuckahoe Man Charged With Cashing Same Check Twice

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – A 21-year old Tuckahoe man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly trying to cash a check twice from two separate businesses, the New York State Police reported.

Tuckahoe resident Kevin Moultrie, Jr., was arrested on charges of fourth-degree grand larceny after trying to cash the same check twice.

Kevin Moultrie, Jr. was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after cashing a payroll check from Hughes Financial Services in Yonkers that he had already deposited electronically with another business.

The loss to Hughes was in excess of $1,000, police said.

Moultrie is scheduled to appear at Yonkers City Court on August 18.
