Two Scarsdale Officers Graduate From Police Academy

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale will be getting two new police officers.

Recruits Nicholas Cascioli and Nicholas Kringas formally graduated from the Police Academy on Friday, Dec. 18, at ceremonies held at the State University of New York in Purchase.

There to support them, and to witness the ceremony, were soon-to-be colleagues from the Scarsdale police department: Det. Sgt. James Newman, Det. Lt. Edward Murphy, Capt. Thomas Altizio, Chief Andrew Matturro, and Lt. Joseph Dusavage.

The two new officers have completed 20 weeks of training at the academy and are now beginning the department’s 10-week field training program.
