SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Scarsdale Police Department released this video from an onboard patrol car camera of a tree falling on a car traveling south on Post Road near Crane Road.

The driver of the BMW was not injured, but was extremely fortunate, Scarsdale Police Lt. Thomas Altizio said. The tree landed directly in front of the vehicle before being slingshot back into the air by power wires suspending it. The tree then landed atop the car, where it stayed until emergency workers could clear the debris. The incident took place Monday.

“It emphasizes why we advise people to stay off the roads during these extreme weather conditions,” Altizio said.
