Westport Man Charged After 'Menacing' Dispute At Home

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport man described by police as being "intoxicated and acting in a menacing manner" toward his wife and child was arrested Tuesday, April 22, police said.

Officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Roseville Road were met by a man who said his son, Ried Salotollo, was causing the disturbance, police said.

Officers located Salotollo, 37, who "became enraged at their presence" and combative with the officers, police said. 

Salotollo was arrested after engaging in a physical confrontation with officers, police said. He was charged with interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct. He was held on $500 bond and given a court date of April 23.

Also, officers called were called to the Levitt Pavilion on Thursday, April 24, on a report of an unauthorized person at the construction site, police said.

Upon arrival, officers engaged Paul Nordling, who was wandering around the construction site, police said. Nordling, 60, became "belligerent and combative" with officers, police said.

He was arrested and charged with breach of peace, third-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer.
