Donald Trump Not Fit To Be President, Majority Of Americans Say

President Donald Trump, who owns plenty of properties in the Hudson Valley, is not fit to be president, according to a new national Quinnipac poll.

Those polled said by a 56-42 percent margin that Trump is wnot fit to serve as chief executive. Only 36 percent of those polled approve of the job he is doing.

The poll was aligned on party lines, with 94 percent of Democrats and 14 percent of Republicans saying he was not fit to be president. Men were split 49-49 while a majority of women, 63 percent to 35 percent, said he was not fit.

White voters were divided on the issue at 50-48 percent, while 94 percent of black voters said he was not fit. Among Hispanic voters, 60 percent said he was not fit.

When it comes to his Twitter usage, 69 percent of Americans said Trump should stop tweeting.

Other numbers don't look promising for the president. Sixty percent say he does not have good leadership skills, 59 percent said he is not honest, 56 percent said he does not care about average Americans, 67 percent said he is not levelheaded, 61 percent said he is not a strong person, and 61 percent said he does not share their values.

Trump, who owns the Seven Springs Estate in Bedford, also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor. The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower At City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
