The meeting is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. at the Village Hall
The Waterfront Infrastructure Committee, made up of volunteers, has been working on a preliminary plan detailing where parks, roads and utilities will be placed throughout the site once the cleanup is finished. BP/Arco and Exxon have been involved in administering the cleanup, monitored by the Department of Environmental Protection.
The open hearing, which will be held in the Village Hall's second floor conference room, will include a recap from the Nov.27 public session, a look forward to where the village might go in developing the area and discussion of dates for future Committee meetings.
The Infrastructure Committee was appointed by the Village Board of Trustees in April 2012. The group last discussed several scenarios for the waterfront, including the possibility that one of the land owners, BP/Arco, may be willing to lay infrastructure on the site.
