New Rochelle Mayor To Attend Democratic Convention

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, a delegate to next month’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., hopes to gain a better grasp of how national politics work.

“I don’t know what to expect, but I’m sure it will be an exciting experience,” Bramson said of the convention, which runs from Sept. 4 to 6.

Bramson was selected to attend his first convention after responding to an email from the Westchester County Democratic Committee. And he is looking forward to the trip.

“It’s an opportunity to observe and participate directly in one of the unique processes to determine the future of America, and that is very exciting,” he said.

Bramson plans to attend the major speeches and conferences with more than 5,000 other delegates across the country.

"I hope that I'll have the opportunity to meet and speak with local government officials and exchange thoughts about municipal government ideas," he said.
