Harry Reynolds:

I support Obama's policy with respect to Iran, universal health care, the 46.2 million Americans below the official poverty line (the highest number in more that 50 years), the 67,000 veterans who are homeless and the 1.5 million other veterans who are considered at risk of homelessness, the rights of women with respect to abortion, contraception, and equal pay for equal work, the expenditure of indefensable sums in support of what General Eisenhower called the military-industrial complex, the payment of adequate salaries to teachers, the drive for alternative energy sources, the revamping of our federal tax code's loop holes, and the support of public service networks.
I oppose as morally repugnant any social, economic, and political proposal of the Republican Party and with bleeding feet would walk unshodden in the snow to do so, a position that I have maintained since the moment of my conception.
