After the inauguration ceremony, the executive and his family hosted a New Year's Day open house reception, which was open to the public.

Hundreds of Westchester residents attended the event held in Astorino's office on the ninth floor of the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains, officials said.

"I represent every part of this county and every person in this county," said Astorino in a press release. "Everything we do every day when we come to work here is to better this county, to make it easier for people to live here and raise their family here, and for businesses to open up and to flourish."
