The transaction gives New England Properties a total of 55 offices, nearly 1,600 agents and entrance into New York’s vibrant Westchester County market. Terms were not disclosed.

“We’re thrilled to add this fine brokerage to our team and take an important step in our strategic growth,” said New England Properties President and CEO Candace Adams in a press release. “The brokerage is respected for its strong leadership, talented agents and a large and loyal client base. It’s an ideal match for us and we will help the company grow.”

Adams said the firm will operate as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Westchester Properties. Broker Mark Nadler will continue leading the Scarsdale and Larchmont offices of Westchester Properties, according to a press release.

“We are the same great company now backed by one of America’s finest real estate brokerages,” Nadler said in a press release. “We are bigger and stronger as an organization, and we’re part of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the most compelling brand in real estate. The future couldn’t be brighter for us and our clients.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties became one of the network’s first affiliates when it transitioned from Prudential Real Estate in September 2013. Since then, the brokerage has become the network’s sixth-largest affiliate for volume and has built on it strength in New England, according to a press release. With the expansion into New York, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England and Westchester Properties expects continued momentum throughout the Northeast, according to a press release.

As part of the transition, Westchester Properties agents will gain access to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Global Network Platform plus professional education, business consultation, marketing support and the exclusive Luxury Collection program for high-end listings, according to a press release.

“Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has powerful name recognition and appeal,” said Adams in a press release. “We’re confident buyers and sellers in Westchester County will gravitate toward the brand, just as they have in our Connecticut and Rhode Island markets."
