Sleepy Hollow Police Arrest Four

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Sleepy Hollow police arrested and tasered a 22-old-year Sleepy Hollow man on Monday night around 11 p.m. on Valley Street.

Stanley Martinez was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, resisting arrest and assault in the second degree.

Police say Martinez resisted arrest and had to be tasered, injuring two officers. The extent of the injuries was not life threatening. Police Chief Gregory Camp would only say that the officers suffered physical injuries.

Martinez will make his first appearance in court on July 18. He was taken to Westchester County Jail, but his name is not showing up as a current inmate.

Two men were arrested early Tuesday morning after police responded to a report of a fight on Bellwood Avenue.

Jonathan Sanchez, 25, of Sleepy Hollow and a 22-year-old Danbury, Conn. resident, whose name police did not release, were arrested around 4:30 a.m. after police stopped their vehicle and found that one of the passengers had facial injuries.

The injured passenger refused to file a complaint against his attacker, who was also in the vehicle, according to police. Police say Sanchez, the driver of the car, was intoxicated. The Connecticut 22-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Both men will appear in court on July 18.

Police also arrested a 47-year-old Sleepy Hollow man Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The man, whose name was not released, will appear in court on July 18.
