"Eating Fairfield" Serves Up Delicious Deals

You might not be able to think beyond Thanksgiving leftovers yet, but you’ll run out of those eventually. Lucky for you, the “Eating Fairfield” event kicks off Sunday, Nov. 27, which should be right around the time you’ve scarfed your last spoonful of stuffing.

A week-long celebration of local food and restaurants, “Eating Fairfield” is the second celebration of its kind presented by the New England Culinary Group (NECG). Some of Fairfield’s finest eateries will offer deals and specials on lunch and dinner. Bonda, Café Lola, Martel, Old Post Tavern, Tabouli Grill and Bodega Taco Bar are just a few of the participating restaurants. Restaurants will offer lunches at price points of either $10.11 or $18.11 per person, and dinners will run $20.11 to $30.11 per person.

But “Eating Fairfield” isn’t your average restaurant week. “Unlike your typical restaurant weeks that have so fabulously been taking place throughout the country,” says NECG co-founder, Linda Kavanagh, “’Eating Fairfield’ will also include an array of delicious and fun offers.”

One such offer is NECG’s bounce back coupon. When you eat at any of the participating restaurants during the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, you’ll receive a gift certificate for 20 percent off any of the other participating restaurants. You can cash in your gift certificates Sunday through Monday, beginning Jan. 2, 2012.

Eat and save now, and then save again when you eat later. It’s almost like squirreling away nuts for the winter.
