Downtown Greenwich will be filled with fun festivities, such as horse drawn carriage rides, live singing performances, professional ice sculpture demos, bouncy castles, a food truck village, live reindeer and photos with Santa and more than 100 Greenwich merchants and restaurants offering special promotions, refreshments and in-store activities. Parking will be free all weekend.

The Stroll will take place on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Dec. 8 from noon to 6 p.m.

New elements this year include a sale, exhibition and family snowman making art workshop at the Greenwich Arts Council, a horse petting station in front of Wine Wise, and a food truck village featuring eight different cuisines on wheels located on East Putnam in front of C. Parker Gallery and in the Board of Education parking lot on Greenwich Avenue.

In addition there will be an increased number of children’s activities, including bouncy castles in the Lewis Street and Elm Street parking lots, letter writing to Santa hosted by a dozen retailers, plus in-store fun, from snow globe making at Urban Outfitters to entertainment at Patriot Bank and more.

“This event is a terrific way to start the holiday season and to showcase our beautiful town and its wonderful stores and restaurants,” Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei said in a statement. “Now in its fifth year, it’s become an annual tradition that the community looks forward to.”

The ongoing McArdle's Reindeer Festival will donate $5 from every photo package taken with Santa to Kids In Crisis.

Live holiday music will take place throughout each day in front of St. Mary Parish. Performers include the Off Sounders, the Grace Notes, Greenwich Baptist Church singers, Three for the Road, the Messengers and more.

Many stores will be offering special events, such as a D.J. at Lilly Pulitzer, trunk show at Out of the Box, complimentary caricature drawings by Tom Glover at Brooks Brothers, music at Jack Wills, Bouquet Bar and Flower Giveaway at Winston Flowers and more.
