Committee Seeks Candidates for Scarsdale BOE

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – On May 15, Scarsdale voters will go to the polls to fill two seats on the Board of Education (BOE) and to vote on the 2012-2013 school budget. 

The School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC) is seeking candidates for nomination to the BOE. The SBNC will nominate two candidates to fill the seats currently held by Mary Beth Gose and Lewis Leone Jr., whom will be completing their first terms. Both are eligible for renomination. 

Any resident may propose candidates for the school board. A candidate must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a Scarsdale resident and a qualified voter in the Scarsdale school district for at least one year prior to May 15.

Candidates should complete a biographical information form and submit it via e-mail to sbncchair@gmail.com as soon as possible, but no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 27. Forms are available on the SBNC website or at Scarsdale Village Hall, the Scarsdale Library and the main offices of the seven schools.
