The $72 million 2013-14 adopted budget is a 2.15 increase from the previous year's budget and carries a tax levy increase of 0.74 percent.

Superintendent of Schools Brian Monahan said district taxpayers in the town of Cortlandt will see a tax rate increase of $57, while Peekskill residents will see their tax rate decrease by $60. For more information on the budget, see our previous budget story.

Three incumbent board of education trustees are running uncontested for another term: Carson Jacobs, Marion Walsh and Carol P. Abraham, who was appointed to fill a resignation last year.
