SCARSDALE, N.Y. The Scarsdale Adult School will have a new look this fall, as its added more than 20 new faculty members and a myriad of classes to the school.
Among the new hires is award-winning journalist Andrew Nagorski, a former senior editor at Newsweek and current vice president and director of public policy at the EastWest Institute. His class, Hitlerland: American Eyewitnesses to the Nazi Rise to Power will focus on accounts of American diplomats, authors and athletes during the dictators rise to prominence.
Architect Michael Molinelli will teach a class on the history of western architecture, as well as Great Moments in Westchester Architecture.
Former Manhattanville College and Pace University professor Kathleen Maria will bring her experience to the Adult School to teach a class on writing in New York, featuring selections from some of the greatest American authors.
Vicky Presser, of the Scarsdale School District, will instruct students about how to launch a public relation campaign for a non-profit organization, and how to get the most out of the latest networking tools.
Other Scarsdale school instructors who will team up with the Scarsdale Adult School include Maureen Amaturo, Marnie Gelfman and Mary Parravani.
Local artisan chocolatier Maria Valente will host a class about pairing wines in her class, Wine and Chocolate Expressions.
The Scarsdale Adult School will teach classes about getting push-button memory and how to speed-read, hosted by professional speaker Wendy Richmond.
The school's fall semester begins on Sept. 10, and features more than 230 courses for those who believe that learning doesnt have to stop after college.
