Scarsdale Adult School To Offer Technology Classes

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Scarsdale Adult School is offering a series of classes to give students the opportunity to brush up on technology.

Computer courses for beginners as well as advanced technology users begin in early March, with classes focusing on several programs and applications.

Cory Merchant will return to teach a series of three courses on the Google suite of applications. Students in the “Google Suite – WOW” course, will learn to use the Google Drive (formerly Google Docs), Calendar, Maps, Picasa and Gmail.

For those seeking knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Paul Spindel will lead “Workplace Computer Skills,” an eight-session class on Monday nights with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Susan Kim will also return to the Scarsdale Adult School to teach several two-session classes on Tuesday nights featuring different software.

Barbara Toledo, database manager for the Scarsdale School District, will lead a five-class program meeting Thursday nights that will focus on introducing students to Microsoft Access.

Lilli Weisz, a productivity consultant, will introduce students to Evernote through a two-session course that will take place on Tuesday evenings.
