SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Adult School has released its 2013 fall/winter course catalog.
Classes offered by the school cover the gamut from educational (languages, history, literature and finance) to entertaining (cooking, dance, photography and games). Dates and course fees vary per class. Many courses have limited enrollment.
The Scarsdale Adult School is a continuing education program that offers an enrichment curriculum for lifelong learning. All adults are welcome, regardless of where they live. Day and evening courses are offered throughout the year. There is a wide choice of intellectually stimulating, recreational, and skill-enhancing courses and lectures. Established in 1938, the school is an independent, not-for-profit organization chartered by the New York State Board of Regents.
The fall/winter 2013 classes start Sept. 16, with courses and single lectures have varying start dates throughout the term. Classes meet at several locations throughout Scarsdale, including the high school, public library and several religious institutions. Directions to each location can be found in the class listings.
