The Forum will host Schools Superintendent Thomas Hagerman and School Board President Bill Natbony on Thursday, Nov. 16 in the Scott Room at the Scarsdale Public Library, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Officials said that the presentation will cover updated enrollment information, finance numbers, along with programmatic changes since last year. It is also expected that they will summarize current Board of Education thinking on facilities, a topic of significant community interest this year, both in terms of the implementation of the 2014 school district bond, as well as the proposed 2018 school district bond.

“The annual State of the Schools presentation is one of the Forum’s most well-attended events, because it gives residents an opportunity to ask questions of the Scarsdale Schools superintendent and Board of Education president in an informal setting," Barry Meiselman, the co-chair of the Forum's Programs Committee said.

The meeting starts at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the library. Preceding the meeting, there will be a reception featuring light refreshments beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Scarsdale Forum is a civic organization that is more than a century old. It is dedicated to improving life in Scarsdale. The forum studies issues before local, regional and state governing bodies and provides input and recommendations through public reports and statements.
