Singh recently graduated from Scarsdale High School and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall. Singh also attended an international school in India.

"I was never bored," Singh said. " I'm very happy to start a new adventure, one where I'm making most of my decisions."

Singh said she plans on studying economics and biology at Michigan and hopes to transfer into the Ross School of Business.

"I fell in love with Ann Arbor and I especially loved that it is such a big school with the biggest alumni network in the world," Singh said.

While she attended Scarsdale, Singh volunteered at the Weinberg Nature Center, wanting to experience the outdoors. She later worked at a physical therapy office. Singh said her favorite memory at the nature center was Spring Fest.

"I got to meet a baby wallaby, tiny monkey, huge frog and even a fennec fox," Singh said. "It was great."

Singh said she will miss having a fixed schedule in high school and the comfort of knowing how her day is going to unfold.

"Four classes, lunch, 3 classes, back home," Singh said. "I'm really going to miss seeing all my friends in one place. I have a lot of fun memories from the school - junior Olympics, going to watch the senior class play and dissection in biology class."
