The workshop, suitable for the beginner to advanced student, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, from 3-5 p.m., at the School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Participants will get hands-on practice in making and adjusting reeds and learn more about the idiosyncrasies of the oboe and bassoon.

Reed tools are not required for the workshop, but a list can be provided for those who wish to use their own tools by contacting Janet Grice at jangrice@yahoo.com.

Participants should bring their instruments as the last 45 minutes of the workshop will be spent playing together in a double reed ensemble.
