According to reports, on Tuesday the Archdiocese named 26 schools that are in danger of being shut down due to financial, demographic and population controls. The Archdiocese currently maintains 159 parochial schools.
Other Westchester schools that have been threatened with closure include the Holy Name of Jesus School in Valhalla, St. Casmir School in Yonkers, Our Lady of the Assumption School in Peekskill and St. Theresa School in Briarcliff Manor.
The last time there was a shutdowns like this was in 2010.
Officials did not respond to inquiries Wednesday.
A final decision is expected to be made in January regarding Our Lady of Fatima.
