Scarsdale Residents Asked To Register For School Budget Vote

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Union Free School District urges residents to register to vote so you can vote May 19 on the school budget.

Westchester County registration-by-mail forms are available in the main office of every school. You also may access the form at http://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com/register-to-vote. Mailed registration forms must be received by the board in time to be processed by May 19.

In addition, anyone may register for school district voting with the School District's Board of Registration at the offices of the Board of Education in the high school (Brewster Road side of the school) Tuesday, May 12, between 4-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 14, between 1-5 p.m. 

Applications for absentee ballots may be made immediately. Absentee ballots are not available until after Monday, April 20. Anyone who is registered and will not be in Westchester County to vote May 19 may apply for an absentee ballot by e-mail or regular mail, or in person. Application forms are immediately available from Angel Nunes, district clerk at the board's office (721-2416 or anunes@scarsdaleschools.org).

The voter must return the completed application in time for it to be received by the clerk seven days before the vote (Tuesday, May 12). If completed applications are delivered personally, they must be received no later than 5 p.m. by Monday, May 18. All absentee ballots must be delivered to the clerk’s office no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 19.
