Scarsdale School Board Nominating Committee Lists Candidates

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Scarsdale School Board Nominating Committee has announced the candidates for the upcoming election.

Voting for the Scarsdale School Board nominating Committee will be at Scarsdale Middle School.

The election will be held on Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium lobby of Scarsdale Middle School.

The School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC) is an elected group of 30 members that identifies, proposes and nominates qualified candidates to run for the Scarsdale Board of Education.

The SBNC Administrative Committee is looking to elect two candidates in each elementary school district, with the exception of Heathcote, where three candidates are required to replace a member who recently resigned.

Should Tuesday be a snow day, the election will move to Thursday.

These are the candidates in each of the elementary school districts:

  • Edgewood: Moira Ann Crouch, Daniel Moretti.
  • Fox Meadow: Elizabeth (Liz) Miller Guggenheimer, Pam Rubin, Beverley Sved.
  • Greenacres: Elyse Mall Klayman, Terri Simon.
  • Heathcote: Qing (Claire) He, Jacqueline Irwin, Sarah Persily, Jodie Roure, Laura Toniolo.
  • Quaker Ridge: Jonathan Birenbaum, Lauren Rimland.
