Scarsdale School Board Schedules Two Meetings

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Board of Education of the Scarsdale Union Free School District will hold two meetings during the week of Feb. 29, at Scarsdale High School, 2 Brewster Road.

On Monday, Feb. 29, the board will hold a Budget Study Session at 6:30 p.m. and a Business Meeting at 8 p.m. The agenda for the Budget Study session is as follows: Budget; Instruction; Special Education; Athletics; Technology. At the business meeting, the board is expected to act on certain items, including a resolution concerning Mandarin instruction at the middle school, and adoption of a calendar for the 2016-2017 school year.

On Wednesday, March 2, at 8:30 a.m., the board will hold a meeting. The agenda is as follows: At 8:30 a.m. the board will act on the consent agenda. At 9 a.m. the board will hear reports from portfolio groups. At 10 a.m. the board will conduct a study session, at which it will discuss the upcoming board retreat and communications, and hear an athletics roundup report.

Members of the public are invited to be present at the meetings and to speak at designated times.
