The program starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Scarsdale High School Little Theater. Scarsdale resident and tech expert David M. Siegel will join members of the Scarsdale schools technology staff to speak about coding. The program is free and open to the public.

"This talk will highlight the valuable skills that all students develop when they become creators of technology through computer-based activities like coding," representatives said. "When young people learn to code, they learn useful strategies for solving problems, designing projects, communicating ideas, and collaborating with others - essential skills for life in the 21st century."

For more information on the program, residents are asked to contact Middle School PTA programming director Jennifer M. Rossano at jenrossano@verizon.net.
