SCARSDALE, N.Y. A dozen Scarsdale High School student artists are showing their work in an exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art. The "Young Artists" exhibition, in its 29th year, showcases the talents of 300 seniors from the museum's member high schools in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess and Fairfield counties.
Scarsdale students taking part include Connor Bodine, Rachelle Gage, Rebecca Hallac, Rikako Harada, Claudia Heitner, Jonathan Hendler, Juliette Jacov, Hannah Katz, Valerie Keating, Celia Lowenthal, Alyssa Marcus and Eric York.
More than 800 people attended the opening on Sunday, March 4. The show will run through Sunday. The museum, at 134 Jay St. (Route 22) in Katonah, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
According to the museum website , the exhibition gives aspiring artists an opportunity to participate in all aspects of a museum exhibition. With the guidance of professionals, the participants organize, publicize, curate and mount their own exhibition.
