Students From Scarsdale Graduate At Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. – Nearly two dozen Scarsdale residents graduated as members of the Cornell University class of 2012.

Johnny Sa graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in science of natural and environmental systems and biological sciences. Noah Plaue graduated with Artium Baccalarius degrees in English and history.

Priya Purushothaman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in human development. Elliot Wertheimer earned an Artium Baccalarius degree in economics. Kyle Morton graduated with an Artium Baccalarius degree in economics, and Bonny Lu earned a degree in human development.

Rachel Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in policy analysis and management, while Marion Robine graduated with a degree in biology and society. David Zaitz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics and management.

Alexandra Post earned a degree in human development, and Nashwan Hyder graduated with Bachelor of Science degree in engineering physics. Matthew Danzer graduated with a degree in industrial and labor relations.

Gregory Zecchini earned an Artium Baccalarius degree in computer science, while Sarah Fernandez graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary study in applied language studies.

Steven Grant graduated with an Artium Baccalarius degree in history, and Audrey Sutton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fiber science and apparel design. Benjamin Michaels earned a degree in economics.

Cornell University grants the A.B., Artium Baccalarius, degree instead of the more common B.A., Bachelor of Arts. "Artium Baccalarius" is Latin for "Bachelor of Arts." An explanation of how Cornell came to do this is in the Ask Uncle Ezra section of the university's website.
