Three people were arrested in connection with a scheme that involved the theft of a victim's French bulldog in Westchester, police said. The events leading up to the arrests began when a Yonkers resident's French bulldog was stolen in a burglary committed by a former friend, Yonkers Police announced on Thursday, Nov. 30. New York state is seeing fewer incidents of violent crime, according to a new report. Data from the first comprehensive overview of crime trends across the state showed a six-percent drop in violent crime outside of New York City during the first half of 2023 compared to the first six months of 2022, Gov.
