Westchester Community College Cancels Men's Basketball Season Amid Probe

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester Community College has cancelled its men's basketball season due to an investigation into possible alteration of athletes' transcripts, according to LoHud.com.

Four players, including former Mount Vernon standout Jamell Walker, either had scholarships stripped from four-year schools, or were deemed academically ineligible due to alleged transcript fraud, LoHud.com said. 

The same allegations also lead to the termination of former assistant Richard Fields on Oct. 16, LoHud.com reported.
