The whole thing reeks of salesmanship (like Chappaqua Crossing) . If you want someone to pay $100 for something you start out asking $1,000. Then, even if it's worthless, $100 sounds like a bargain. It's a terrible location for even one unit and a nightmare location for first responders. View Comment

The list has the name and address of every law enforcement and national guard member in the county. Thank you, Journal News, for providing a hit list for every whacko with a grudge, complete with addresses. I know you are not exactly the New York Times, but show some common sense! Once published, it is out there forever, floating in cyberspace. You cannot get that genie back in the bottle. View Comment

The woman on King Street complaining that the fire department didn't get to her house until 8pm to cut down trees and clear the road is typical of many Chappaqua residents, sadly. First of all "they waited to do it for the ovetime": the Chappaqua Fire Department is 100% volunteer. The men and women donate their time and energy to kkeep her and her neighbors safe. How about a little gratitude? Second of all, she is not the only person in Chappaqua stranded or who sustained damage and needed the fire department's help. There were residents with trees ON their houses who needed to be evacuated and actual house FIRES that the fire department had to handle in the wake of Irene. OVERTIME? Yes, the fire department works overtime. But not for a paycheck. View Comment
