WHY?!? What supposed purpose is this supposed to serve? Remind everyone that the govt can do what it wants? Yes. Let everyone know that the unions are in charge? Yes.
But I mean any useful purpose? Each taxing district supports the majority of its school expenses and is more responsible to its electorate. It should be the local BOE that decides who what and when. The state and fed should be told to go elsewhere. But, everyone will just roll over and Let this govt march continue.
Parents should instruct their BOE to push back. View Comment
And then when it turns out that the 72 yr old man was really trying to fix the clasp on his cheap pants while he thought he was alone, what happens to the false accuser? Yes, the person that said she saw something else which was not true? What happens then? Yeah, that's what I thought. View Comment
that's it? What about a few details or more information, you know, make it a news story....
Driver have much experience?
How did the driver know to stop and get out (if he did)?
Where did the fire appear to have started (engine, under cab, trailer)?
Was the fire halted or did the entire truck burn?
What was the truck carrying, what cargo?
Where was the truck driving from and to?
First, good for the kid on not letting anyone in. Second, sounds like the kid also mows how to use a phone. Another plus. And finally, is it that hard to pack the kid up and bring him with you? View Comment
Seems a little odd to me. 72 yr old and in the hallway? I lean toward believing the substitute over the paraprofessional reporter, especially in this trigger happy environment we now find ourselves. View Comment
Sounds like the door was open or she let them in. No mention of forced entry. I am all for guns for everyone, but sounds like gun would not have helped here. If the broke down the door, that should would have alerted her to go get gun. View Comment
Every shooting involved a teen or young adult that was on prescription antidepressant medication at the time or in the past. Therefore it is the antidepressant drugs that should be outlawed and not guns. View Comment
Sounds like Lavielle is correct. They spent all the money, and they kept borrowing more, instead of reducing spending to pay off the debt they issue bonds. There should be a requirement to cut spending as part of the bond approval. View Comment
Darien continues to be a town that reacts instead of plans. The cent string of multimillion dollar projects illustrate that. They do not do what is right they react to the current issue de jour with the simplest solution, which means the least push back from residents and their lawyers. We no public pool, poorly designed parks and a high school with no pool and no stadium lights.
Admit it. View Comment
@Ms. Inzitani, What a poor article. Who owned the dogs Hauser or the group of 8? What was the issue with the dogs? Off leash? Bothersome? Threatening?
And, what is the policy on dogs at Campo at this time of year? Were any citations issued related to the dog problem? if not, why not? Who was the officer that responded and charged Hauser?
When you report an incident try to gather some facts instead of the simple sentence that the police feed you. View Comment
