Appreciate the opportunity to vote on the 3 designs, however not enough info was offered. I might have been swayed toward one vote over the other if info on # of decks was provided, is there going to be a light rail? These just look like design changes & NOT changes to solve the congestion problems!! I voted "None of the choices". View Comment
People are SERIOUSLY offended by the headline of this article? Please!!! We are ACTUALLY talking about the REAL birds & bees here, people!! Pay more attention to what your child is doing online via FaceBook, texting & what shows/movies they see! View Comment
Both of my daughters have graduated from this school, and as a result of the excellent teaching methods and extra care put forth by the staff, both were HS & college scholarship winners. This school barely gets by with the help of ALL parents & alumni in fundraising efforts! Let's help out one of the gems of our town...Catholic Schools should NOT be forgotten! View Comment
The "please drive slowly we ♥ our children" sign is located at the entrance to the school/church parking lot at Transfiguration on Prospect! View Comment
My first car was a 1963 VW Squareback (the VW version of a station wagon). Suitcase engine behind the back seats - really gave the car a nice, toasty "is something burning" kind of smell. The car was only 3 years younger than me! Original red had been painted over with schoolbus yellow. The headlight rims had to be wired further back into the body due to rust, thus they were never really locked into place. My boyfriend (now my husband!) used to call the car "The Squirrel Hunter" because when we drove over bumps, the lights would tilt up into the trees. Also learned to drive standard shift on that car...leading to many others including a Ford Pinto Wagon, a Chevette, a Toyota Corolla & finally a Ford 5 speed van, that I gave up in 2001 for my first automatic. Gosh, how I miss driving a stick shift! View Comment

Also learned to drive standard-shift on that car...many more stick shifts to follow, right up to my Ford van that I had until 2001! Gosh, how I hate driving an automatic!

This is located on Central Ave., next to the old NY Telephone building (just downhill from side entrance to parking lot for PayHalf, CVS, etc.)
Shame that we don't have a working one at the train station! My daughter's cell phone was dead as she got off the last train of the night - had to walk up to 7-11 on Main & Broadway before she could find a working phone! Awful hour for a 21 year old girl to walk alone. View Comment
On Central Ave., next to the old NY Telephone building. (just down the hill from the side entrance to parking lot for PayHalf, CVS, etc.) It's a SHAME that we don't have more working payphones - my daughter got STUCK at the trainstation (last train stopping in Tarrytown for the night), and had a dead cellphone. A working phonebooth down there would have saved her from walking up to 7-11 on Broadway at that hour...that was the closest phone she could find! View Comment
Thank goodness for the Stop & Shop gas program! Took long enough for this type of shopping/gas benefit to hit this area. Supermarkets in Texas have been using this for years, with much success. I am making this a regular habit - the cents off difference certainly helps! Thank you Stop & Shop and Shell! View Comment
