Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds Are Headed To Scarsdale

Rain is headed into the Hudson Valley region Friday, but have no fear, the sun will reappear for the July 4th weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The Hudson Valley region is expected to see thunderstorms and gusty winds on Friday. The skies will be sunny over the weekend, and the July 4th holiday, however.

According to forecasters, severe, but isolated, thunderstorms could arrive Friday morning and last through Friday night.

Wind gusts could reach 60 mph, the weather service said.

On Saturday and Sunday, however, the skies will be bright and the temperatures could reach the low 80s.

Independence Day will also be sunny, forecasters say.

The temps for holiday picnics and parades will also hang around the low 80s.

Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be partly sunny, with a 30 percent chance of rain.
