Scarsdale Will See Heavy Rain, With Possible Strong Winds, Hail, Flooding

A system moving into the area overnight into Sunday morning is certain to bring rain, but it also could include severe storms accompanied by hail, strong winds and flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

Off-and-on showers are likely for the first half of the day Sunday with heavy rain likely and thunderstorms possible after noon.

Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. The high temperature will be in the mid 70s.

Showers and a possible thunderstorm, mainly before midnight, will be followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight into Monday morning, with a slight chance of showers continuing through noon Monday.

A total of 1 to 2 inches of rain from late Saturday night to early Monday morning is possible.

The rest of the day Monday will be mostly sunny with a high around 80.
