It will be a wet, raw Tuesday in the area with periods of rain and possibly heavy thunderstorms.
The bulk of the storms is expected to arrive arrive 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Some of the storms could produce small hail, the weather service warns.
The chance of precipitation is 90 percent with new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, with higher amounts possible as a result of thunderstorms.
The stormy stretch should wind down by around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The daytime high temperatures will only reach the low 50s, dropping to 40 overnight.
The sun returns and temperatures will climb back into the low 60s Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Showers are likely again Thursday afternoon, the service said.
The weekend won’t be a washout, they said. Friday should be partly sunny, and Saturday will be mostly sunny with spring-like temperatures in the low 60s..
