After a dry, comfortable start to the week, things will steam up again Wednesday with a new round of storms expected, according to AccuWeather.com.
An unsettled system arriving Wednesday will result in the possibility of showers and thunderstorms by afternoon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. It will be warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s.
Rain and storms could return again in the evening hours, mainly before 10 p.m.
Thursday arrives with the chance of more soaking rain in the afternoon. The day will be otherwise sunny with hot air around 90, and heat-index values around 95.
Overnight showers are possible until midnight, under mainly cloudy skies, with a low near 73.
There's a chance of more rain on Friday when partly sunny skies will bring on the heat. The mercury could hit 90 once again.
