SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Scarsdale Medical Group, a multi-specialty practice serving Westchester and Fairfield Counties and the surrounding Hudson Valley area, will offer medical pedicures beginning April 14 in the podiatry suite in the Harrison office at 600 Mamaroneck Ave.
Medical pedicures combine podiatric treatment of common foot problems with aesthetic foot care. A licensed nail technician works under the supervision of our board-certified podiatrists. We use advanced equipment and follow the strictest hygiene protocols.
“We often take foot care for granted. A medical pedicure is a safer, more sterile and therefore healthier alternative to the traditional nail salon,” says podiatrist Dr. Michelle Castiello. “This is a great, relaxing way to keep our patients’ feet and nails not only healthy, but looking great all year long.”
Each appointment includes: extensive cleansing in a whirlpool bath with single-use liners to ensure a sanitary experience as well as sanding, buffing and shaping of nails to remove dead cells, smoothing out of dry, cracked heals and calluses, a soothing foot massage, and application of polish, if desired.
Patients must have been seen by an SMG podiatrist within the six months prior to their medical pedicure to be certain that no problems exist. Appointments are available on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The inclusive cost is $60, typically not covered by health insurers. The service is available to men as well as women. To make an appointment call 914-723-8100.
