Baruch-Feldman says a growing body of research is finding that grit, self-control and a growth mindset can have a strong influence on academic achievement, emotional well-being and health. These qualities are the “secret sauce” to success.
Participants will learn about the latest research, as well as strategies that promote these characteristics.
Baruch-Feldman is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. She has a private practice in Scarsdale and works part-time as a school psychologist in Westchester. She has written numerous articles, led various workshops and trained hundreds of teachers, administrators and healthcare professionals. She is a graduate of Barnard College and received her doctorate in clinical-child psychology and a school psychology certificate from St. John’s University.
The class begins at 7 p.m. at the library, 54 Olmsted Road.
