Nearly 100 Bike Riders Raise $10,000 At Family Cycling Event In Scarsdale

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Despite the cold weather, 97 bicyclists raised just under $10,000 for the Schechter Annual Fund on Sunday.

Tour de Schechter is a community-wide, family-friendly cycling event that celebrates Schechter Westchester’s 50th anniversary.

It took place at the Schechter Westchester Upper School campus, 555 West Hartsdale Ave., Hartsdale.

The cost was $65 per adult and $36 per child, including a T-shirt and barbecue lunch.

Solomon Schechter School of Westchester is one of the nation’s largest and premier Jewish independent schools. Schechter Westchester provides students from kindergarten through 12th grade with a stellar education that weaves together a core curriculum of general and Judaic studies, including English, Hebrew, math, science, social studies and Jewish history.
