SCARSDALE, N.Y. - Con Edison workers were forced to break into a Lincoln Road home Tuesday evening to investigate a report of a gas leak in the area.
According to a Scarsdale Police report, the Scarsdale Fire Department requested Scarsdale Police to come to the home about 5:30 p.m. while Con Ed workers and firefighters forced entry through the basement door. The workers and firefighters had completed their investigation when police arrived, according to the report. The owner of the house returned home and was told about what happened and advised how to file a claim with Con Ed to cover the damage.
Also Tuesday, a woman called police to report she had locked her child and her keys in her car on East Parkway in Scarsdale. A mechanic was called to unlock the vehicle.
