SCARSDALE, N.Y. The Junior League of Central Westchester wrapped up its diaper drive recently, donating approximately 55,000 diapers to Family Services of Westchester in partnership with Kimberly-Clark's Huggies Every Little Bottom program. The total included 15,000 diapers collected by the JLCW and a donation of 40,000 from Huggies.
According to a press release, the JLCW's goal was to collect 2,000 diapers when the drive started last fall.
A study commissioned by Huggies released in June 2010 showed that one in three American mothers struggles to provide diapers for their babies, cutting back on food, utilities and child care to do so.
