What's Happening In Scarsdale This Week?

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – There is plenty to do in Scarsdale this week, with summer camps beginning to welcome children. There will be several town meetings at the high school and Village Hall. For a complete list of Scarsdale and Westchester County events, see our calendar .

Monday, July 9

Bagels and Babies: 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The Westchester Reform Temple Early Childhood Center and the PJ Library are bringing back the summer version of this popular playgroup for mothers, fathers, caregivers and grandparents. The program is free and open to the community. All are welcome. Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Dazzle Dogs: 7 to 8 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will host talented dogs that dance and perform acrobatic stunts. Registration is not required. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

School Board Meeting: 8 p.m. There will be a reorganization meeting of the Board of Education in Room 170-172 of the high school. There will also be a public hearing on the new code of conduct and district safety plan. 1057 White Plains Road, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, July 10

Critter Camp: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Greenburgh Nature Center invites children entering grades four through six to celebrate the wild at Critter Camp. Kids will concentrate on cultivating relationships with both humans and animals. They will get a hands-on introduction to the world of nature and animals. $375 per session for members, $424 for non-members. 99 Dromore Road, Greenburgh

Planes, Trains and Automobiles: 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Designed for children ages 2 through 4, this program will have stories and free play with the Scarsdale Library’s collection of cars, trucks and trains. Registration is required. 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Board of Trustees Meeting: 8 p.m. There will be a meeting of the Scarsdale Village Board of Trustees. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Wednesday, July 11

Personnel Committee: 6:15 p.m. There will be a meeting of the Personnel Committee of the Scarsdale Village Board of Trustees. The meeting will be held in the Trustees’ Room at Village Hall. They will discuss board and council vacancies. 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Foreign Film: 6:30 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will continue its adult foreign film series when they show “Micmacs.” 54 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

Committee Meeting: 7 p.m. A special meeting will be held in the third-floor meeting room at Village Hall to discuss the Crane Road Bridge Replacement Project.
