Breaking News: Man Dies After Climbing On Top Of Metro-North Train In Westchester

Armondo F. Petruccelli, 88, Scarsdale Resident

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Armondo F. Petruccelli, 88, of Scarsdale, died on Monday, Sept. 28.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1927, in Eastchester to Francesco and Antonetta DiNardo Petruccelli.

He was the husband of Linda Muller Petruccelli, and father of Frank (Maureen), John and Raymond Petruccelli.

He was the grandfather of Brianna, Samantha and Derek Petruccelli; brother of Rudolph (Francesca) Petruccelli, Elma (Martin) Capriotti and the late Vincent (Elizabeth) Petruccelli.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-48. He worked as an underwriting manager for IRM Insurance Co. for 41 years.

He was past commander and present treasurer of the American Legion. He was a member of the Scarsdale Elks Lodge 2056.

The family will receive friends at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester, Friday, from 4-8 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Legion LeRoy Gregory Post 979, 40 Bell Road, Scarsdale, 10583 are appreciated.
