Calling hours for 18-year-old Nolan Bryce Evanicki of Poughkeepsie will be held on Sunday, Nov. 26 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., at 895 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction. Since he loved superheroes and all things WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), his family asks that you come to calling hours in your favorite superhero shirt or wrestling shirt.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.

Nolan was born on Sept. 25, 1999 in Poughkeepsie. He was a 2017 graduate of Arlington High School and was currently a student at Dutchess Community College.

Nolan lived life with curiosity and kindness. His quick wit and bright smile lit-up any room he entered, which is why his parents affectionately called him "Sunshine."

Nolan loved the WWE and comic book superheroes, but he was a hero to many who had so little. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his girlfriend, and his friends.

Nolan is survived by his mother, Melissa Evanicki of Poughkeepsie; his father, Michael Todd Evanicki of Pleasant Valley; his brothers, Brandon Clark, Dylan Evanicki, Michael Evanicki, and Kamron Evanicki; his grandparents, Mary Clark and Michael and Karen Evanicki; his girlfriend, Alyssa Rose Barger; his aunts and uncles, Meredith Clark Halla, Eddie Clark, Toni Clark, Michelle and Hilton Clark, Brett Evanicki, and Zach Evanicki; and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, William Clark, Sharon Evanicki, and Vincent Cavalieri.

According to state police, an eastbound vehicle on Route 44 made a left hand turn to enter the Taconic State Parkway on-ramp in front of a westbound vehicle.

Nolan Evanicki was extricated from his car by Pleasant Valley Fire Department and pronounced deceased on scene, according to police.

The investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is ongoing and investigators ask any witnesses to please contact Troop K, SP Poughkeepsie BCI, at (845) 677-7300.

Donations may be in Nolan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please visit Nolan's Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
